Looking for flexible auditing work to fit your lifestyle? Whether you want to spend more time with your family, pursue a project or travel the world for periods of time, we have a unique opportunity for you! At the Office of the Auditor General of Alberta (OAG), we are always looking for passionate people interested in serving the public good to join our team.

Your auditing background and years of experience enable you to step in during busy season at the OAG and step back to enjoy your personal pursuits at other times. You have a CPA designation and audit experience but you’re looking for flexibility in terms of when, where, and how you work.

Under the guidance of an Audit Manager or Engagement Leader, you will apply Canadian Audit Standards (CAS) and audit methodology in a variety of financial statement and performance audits, while contributing to the development of audit plans, performing tests of controls and year-end procedures, assisting in file completion, and support in making recommendations to auditees.

You will work both independently and in team environments, apply project management skills and exercise your strong critical thinking skills. Your technical expertise, coupled with effective communication skills, will lead to your success as you perform moderately complex audits, while building relationships and obtaining knowledge of the auditee’s business and providing coaching and mentorship to CPA students.
