Edmonton, Alberta—Auditor General Doug Wylie is releasing the Report of the Auditor General— November 2022, immediately following its tabling in the Legislative Assembly on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

The November 2022 report contains the results of the audit of the 2021-2022 Consolidated Financial Statements of the Province of Alberta.

The report also includes the results of following three new COVID-19 performance audits:

  • Small and Medium Enterprise Relaunch Grant Program
  • Municipal Operating Support Transfer and Municipal Stimulus Program COVID-19 Response Programs
  • COVID-19 Capital Stimulus Initiative

Also included is a Summary of the 2021 Financial Audit Results of School Jurisdictions in Alberta and one assessment of implementation report (Government of Alberta Capital Planning) which assesses the implementation of two previous Auditor General recommendations.

The report is expected to be tabled by the Chair of the Standing Committee on Legislative Offices, Mark Smith, MLA for Drayton Valley-Devon, around 3 p.m. MST, at which time the report will be available online at www.oag.ab.ca.

No technical briefing has been scheduled but the Auditor General will be available for media interviews following tabling upon request.
