NOTICE OF RELEASE OF REPORTS

Edmonton, Alberta — Following tabling with the Members of the Legislative Assembly on Thursday, June 10, 2021, Auditor General Doug Wylie is releasing two reports:
- Report of the Auditor General – June 2021, which includes:
- An examination of Processes to Provide Information About Government’s Environmental Liabilities
- Assessment of implementation of recommendations from eight previous reports, as well as a Progress Report on Systems to Ensure Sufficient Financial Security for Land Disturbances from Mining
- Processes to Manage Bail Hearings and Case Management of Adult Criminal Prosecutions
An EMBARGOED briefing for media only will be held at 11:00 a.m. on the morning of tabling via videoconference/teleconference.
Media wishing to participate will need to register in advance to receive EMBARGOED copies of the reports, and details on participating in the briefing, by contacting Val Mellesmoen via email at email@example.com by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.
Following the briefing, media interviews are available upon request.
The reports are scheduled to be tabled by the Chair of the Standing Committee on Legislative Offices, Joseph Schow, MLA for Cardston-Siksika, around 3:00 p.m., at which time the reports will be publicly available on-line at www.oag.ab.ca.
