The Office of the Auditor General of Alberta is proud to have our October 2016 Systems to Manage the Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) Program featured in the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation’s Feature Audit.

The CAAF is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting and strengthening public sector performance audit, oversight, and accountability in Canada and abroad through research, education, and knowledge sharing. The Featured Audit profiles a selected performance audit from across Canada, highlighting interesting findings, techniques used, and lessons learned.

Alberta’s AISH program serves over 50,000 Albertans by providing almost $1 billion in benefits annually. Our audit focussed on the accessibility of services offered under the AISH program, and the efficiency of the systems in place to manage the program. Click here to read the feature.
