Edmonton, Alberta, Canada… Auditor General Doug Wylie issued a report on the successful implementation of three outstanding recommendations. Alberta Health Services (AHS) and Travel Alberta have implemented three outstanding recommendations issued by the Auditor General of Alberta.
“My office has completed a review of these outstanding recommendations and I am pleased to report that management has successfully implemented these recommendations,” said Wylie. “The work of my office is not fully realized until our recommendations are acted upon, and I recognize both AHS and Travel Alberta for their efforts.”
The following two Assessment of Implementation reports are summarized below:
Alberta Health Services
AHS Controls Over Expense Claims, Purchasing Card Transactions and Other Travel Expenses
The Auditor General completed his assessment of implementation work resulting from the 2013 audit of AHS controls over expense claims, purchasing card transactions and other travel expenses and found that AHS implemented the recommendation:
Travel Alberta
Managing the Risks of Cloud Computing
The Auditor General completed his assessment of implementation work resulting from the 2019 audit of Travel Alberta’s processes for managing the risks of cloud computing and found that the two recommendations have been implemented:
- Develop a risk management process to manage the risks of using cloud computing
- Develop contract management processes for contracts with its cloud service providers
The report was tabled in the Alberta Legislature on May 25, 2022.
