Auditor General Doug Wylie is scheduled to meet with the Standing Committee on Legislative Offices on Friday, December 6 at 10:15 a.m. to present his office’s 25/26 business plan and budget estimate.

The Standing Committee on Legislative Offices approves the budgets of the Officers of the Legislature, including the Auditor General, the Chief Electoral Officer, the Child and Youth Advocate, the Ethics Commissioner, the Information and Privacy Commissioner, the Ombudsman, and the Public Interest Commissioner.

Budget approvals will be decided following these presentations, which are scheduled to conclude by 3 p.m.

Appointed under the Auditor General Act, the Auditor General is an Officer of the Legislative Assembly and is the auditor of the Consolidated Financial Statements of the Province of Alberta and most provincial agencies, boards, commissions, and regulated funds.
