The Public Agency Secretariat, a branch within Alberta’s Public Service Commission, has designed board member recruitment and selection processes for departments to use that help ensure public agency board members have the right skills and experience.
In a report released on August 29, 2019, we identified areas where those processes can be enhanced and be more efficient. We also identified that those processes are not consistently followed by all departments.
