Summary
The government is a $50 billion organization that spends on estimated 2.5 per cent of its budget (over $1 billion) annually on information management and technology. Effective management of its information assets is therefore critical to the government achieving its desired results.
Objective and Scope
The objective of our audit was to determine if Service Alberta has effective processes and systems to establish and maintain an inventory of IT applications used across government departments.

Service Alberta does not have effective processes and systems to establish and maintain a comprehensive IT inventory of applications used across the government’s IT infrastructure.
