Summary
Cloud computing is becoming a preferred option for delivering information technology (IT) services for government agencies and businesses of all sizes and jurisdictions. Organizations must manage the risks of this innovative way of using, sharing and storing data to ensure that sensitive information is protected and the benefits of cloud computing are maximized.
Objective and Scope
Our audit objective was to assess Travel Alberta’s processes to manage the risks of using cloud computing for its operations and financial reporting. We examined processes related to risk management and cloud service provider contract management.
Conclusion
We conclude that Travel Alberta did not have adequate systems to manage the risks of using cloud computing for its operations and financial reporting for the fiscal year 2019.
